Stork Special Products (Stork SP) is an operating company of Stork N.V., a technology-based company with worldwide operations. As part of the strategic unit Stork Industry Specialists focus is given on providing product solutions and after-sales service which meet the requirements of the customer.

The activities are concentrated on the development, engineering, production, testing, installation and higher echelon maintenance and overhaul work of:

Diesel engines and transmissions, as well as systems based on these for ship’s propulsion installations and for powering vehicles.
Environmental Control Systems (ECS: air-conditioning and collective NBC protection) for armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles and shelters.

The organisation has qualified and motivated employees, as well as well-equipped production and service facilities, which comprise a.o. modern test-beds, balancing machine, fuel pump test bench, welding equipment, grinding and honing machines, and various machining tools. The activities are all carried out under excellent working conditions. The organisation is characterised by its customer oriented attitude and is ISO 9001:2000 and AQAP 2110 certified.

Stork SP is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the RUB-diesel engine, a remarkable engine in more than one respect. The engine concept is based on a well-proven design, offering maximum reliability and availability of the system.

Stork SP operates in both land-based and offshore markets for customers in sectors like navies, armed forces, governmental authorities, as well as the railways.
