MOGOS
Together with shelter manufacturer Stork Fokker AESP, Hoogeveen, the MOGOS (Mobile Hospital with surgery capability) programme was developed in the mid 90’s. The MOGOS programme, consisting of 4 mobile hospitals, is in use with the Royal Netherlands Army.
The main task of the MOGOS hospitals is to perform high standard surgery in operating rooms close to combat and has intensive care units available for severely wounded persons. Important for the basic function of these high-tech facilities is a comfortable indoor climate with a down-flow air pattern to ensure optimal and contamination-free surgery.
Peacekeeping
Mobile hospital systems are used all over the world in unstable areas: global peacekeeping operations in the overall United Nations context, local crisis circumstances and for vital assistance behind the frontline. The mobile hospital has been in operation in Afghanistan and Iraq, where it had to operate under the most extreme ambient conditions.
The heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) is a welcome system to provide an agreeable environment for the crew, even under these extreme ambient conditions. The Stork Special Products air-conditioning system creates this indoor environment irrespective of any possible extreme outdoor climate in the specified operating area.
