Leopard 2

The Leopard 2 main battle tank (MBT) is a synonym to worldwide leading MBT technology. In total 12 different nations make use of its capabilities. From the polar circle to the south of Europe, the Leopard 2 MBT can be regarded as the "Euro" MBT.

The Leopard 2 is best known for its fire power, protection, mobility and manoeuvrability. With these capabilities the Leopard 2 will be successfully in use far into the 21st century.

Stork Special Products has produced all of the MTU engines and the RENK transmissions for the Dutch Leopard 2 MBT and the Dutch and German Leopard 2 Recovery Vehicle (Bergepanzer), between the 1980’s and the 1990’s. Including the Recovery Vehicle version, more than 600 engines and more than 450 transmissions were produced.
